1. What made you want to join the Mississippi Teacher Corps?
I joined MTC to get my teaching license close to home (Memphis native here!), but also to push myself. I've never been one to take the easy route, and I wanted to really put myself and my talents to the test.
2. What are your students like?
Where do I start?! My students are ridiculous, hilarious, and amazing young people. Every day they give me a new reason to smile, to laugh, to feel a fresh heartbreak, and to keep trying new things.
3. What has been your favorite part of teaching thus far?
My students are my favorite part of teaching, always. Seeing how far they've come in the past year is completely inspirational. My students make all the hard work worthwhile because they return that hard work back to me tenfold.
4. How are you trying to improve?
I'm most certainly a work in progress. Right now I'm working on organizing my life a little better. No more stacks of papers up to my neck!
